WAVES OF POWER, TAMIL GOSPEL INTERNET RADIO ORGANIZATION is a non-profit team based in Toronto, Canada. It began as a 30 minute program broadcast on a local Tamil radio station in July, 2004. Our vision, following the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ, is to proclaim the kingdom of God to more than 350,000 Tamil speaking people in Toronto and millions around the world and prepare them for the Second Coming of our Lord.

In December, 2004 the website, www.wavesofpower.com, was launched which expanded our listener's base beyond Toronto to other parts of Canada, Europe, the Middle east, Sri Lanka, India, USA and Southeast Asian countries. Links to this website can be found in many other major Tamil Christian websites.

In January, 2006 an online WAVES OF POWER TAMIL GOSPEL INTERNET RADIO, first in Toronto, began 24/7 partially automated broadcast of the Gospel in songs, music, drama and skits that are enjoyed by both the young and the old alike. On November 4, 2006 a real time live broadcast was started on Saturday at 9 am (Eastern Time) with a live talk-show at 10 am in which listeners interact with the moderator by calling phone lines. Since then, we have expanded our live broadcasting time and days. Our mission has been continued with the conviction that many people are thus being reached for Christ.
